We are 100% donation based, so your donation directly helps save the lives of dogs in need.
What do we use your donations for?
Adoption fees: We pay a fee every time we pull a dog from the shelter
Dog food: We feed grain-free, chicken free and corn/soy free dog food, along with our own blend of raw dog food to ensure the dogs in our care get the best nutrition possible
Vet bills: Each dog that we pull from the shelter goes to the vet for a full check up and then has follow ups for vaccines and any needed medications
Spay/Neuter: In order to help prevent future unwanted litters and curb the homeless animal crisis we make sure all of our animals are spayed or neutered.
Medications: A lot of the dogs we pull from over crowded shelters have upper respiratory infections, giardia or other medical issues that require antibiotics or other medications. All our dogs also need flea and tick treatment monthly.
Housing: We are always in need of more safe spaces for the dogs in our care, we need to build dog runs for exercise and buy crates to help with transport and training.
Training: Though our board members are all experienced with training dogs, sometimes there is a behavioral issue that requires extra attention Valley Oak Dogs
