PIPER
Call names: Scrappy-Doo, Ruby-roo; favorite toy: sticks, shoes (Crocs).
This sweet girl is about 5 months old, rescued from the Lancaster shelter, we think she is Rhodesian Ridgeback and pitty mix. She was emaciated and sick when she got to ranch, but after an emergency vet visit and lots TLC, she is feeling much better and starting to show just how incredibly sweet she is. Though we don’t know her entire story, she appears to have been used as a bait dog due to her multitude of scars. Despite her scars she is extremely submissive and kind to both dogs and humans. She is also a total couch potato and would prefer to be cuddled up with you, gardening with you, generally hanging out with you wherever you are. Even on pack walks she rarely leaves our sides and regularly “checks in” with us to make sure she knows where we are. This little girl needs all the tender loving care, and is looking for a home where her sweet personality can shine. With some obedience training and extra calories, she will become your number one adventure buddy and cuddle partner. Dakota
Call names: Floofy, Floofer-noogen; favorite toy: socks, stuffed opossum.
Dakota is a about 6 months old and is the perfect blend of German Shepherd and Husky, with her playful demeanor and quick learning she is the perfect adventure pal. She was rescued from the Lancaster shelter after having spent over a month there being over-looked. Despite her time at the shelter, she is surprising quiet for a husky mix and mostly wants to spend time laying under your feet and following you around. She loves her crate and any “cave” she can find, but also loves to be up high, perched on the back of the couch or sitting in the deck chairs, watching the world go by. This goofy girl is good with other dogs and all people, and is now working on her basic commands: sit, down, heel and “here.” She would love to be your new beach dog or hiking buddy!
